    Moon Udu (2025)

    Media: ceramics | Dimensions: 14" x 14" x 36"

Stoneware ceramic drum with apertures on the side and the top. The instrument is based on the traditional Nigerian udu, but made with the Korean moon jar technique. Its egg-shaped form pays homage to Assagioli’s model of psychosynthesis, while also functioning ergonomically to to sit comfortably on the lap.

Roberto Assagioli’s seven regions of the psyche: 1: The Lower Unconscious, 2: The Middle Unconscious, 3: The Higher Unconscious or Superconscious, 4: The Field of Consciousness, 5: The Conscious Self or “I”, 6: The Higher Self, 7: The Collective Unconscious
